New York, January 14, 2026 – In the prestigious setting of the Columbus Citizens Foundation in New York, the NOVA Project was officially presented. This excellence-driven initiative is a winner of the "Collabora e Innova" call by the Lombardy Region (co-funded by the European Union - PR FESR 2021-2027).
Senior S.R.L. has taken part in this ambitious technological challenge, actively collaborating on both the development of digital solutions and the strategic organization of the events in the United States, alongside Allix, Timelabs, Innovatech, and the CFR Research Organization.
The NOVA Project: Technology and Art Without Borders
The core of the project is the preservation and universal accessibility of a fragile and immovable masterpiece: the 16th-century wooden sculptural group by Giovanni Da Nola, depicting the Annunciation. Thanks to the contribution of Senior and the NOVA partnership, the work has been digitized and made accessible overseas, breaking down all physical barriers.
The United States tour
Italian technological and artistic excellence will be the protagonist of two immersive exhibitions in the USA:
● San Francisco: At the Italian Cultural Institute, running until January 30th.
● New York: At the Italian Cultural Institute, from February 1st to February 14th.
The immersive experience: Senior's contribution
The integration of advanced technologies has allowed for the creation of an unprecedented multi-sensory narrative:
1. Virtual Reality (VR): Visitors can virtually "immerse" themselves in the original church where the statues were located before the 1980 Irpinia earthquake.
2. Augmented Reality (AR): Digital overlays reveal details invisible to the naked eye, bringing to light secrets discovered during the restoration process.
3. Artificial Intelligence (AI): Visitors can interact directly with the artwork. The AI responds to questions about the artist, the restoration techniques used, and the historical context, making the art "talk."
Senior's Commitment to international organization
In addition to its technical contribution, Senior S.R.L. played a key role in coordinating the American events. The logistical and organizational complexity of presenting such an advanced project in institutions like the Columbus Citizens Foundation and the Italian Cultural Institutes required a strategic vision that Senior successfully implemented.
Ivan Allevi, CEO and spokesperson for the technological vision shared in the project, commented:
"With NOVA, we have demonstrated that Artificial Intelligence is an extraordinary tool for the dissemination of culture. Bringing Da Nola’s Annunciation to the USA through digital means means protecting the original while simultaneously allowing the world to appreciate it. Special thanks go to the Lombardy Region for believing in this ambitious journey between art and innovation."
